Caley draws Albion Rovers at home
By: Ian Rose | August 4th, 2009The draw for the second round of the League Cup was made today, and Caley Thistle once again got a very favorable one. After dispatching Third Division side Annan Athletic at home, we face another Third Division side, also in the confines of Caledonian Stadium, when Albion Rovers come to Sneck in the last week in August. A home draw in the cups is always good for the bottom line, and we’ll be heavily favored to move on.
Rovers reached the second round by beating bankruptcy-threatened Livingston 3-0, and will look to collect another, more healthy First Division scalp when they come to Inverness. They’ll find this one a bit harder to walk away with.
Stay tuned as we count down to the start of the league season on Saturday away at Dunfermline. It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Mon the Caley.
