RIP Jock Macdonald
By: Ian Rose | December 17th, 2008I’m at work right now, and so I have to be brief, but I will certainly talk more about this tonight. The first chairman of Caley Thistle and the man most responsible for it, Jock Macdonald died today at the age of 77. Fans of the old Inverness Caley and Inverness Thistle teams have mixed opinions of the man that merged their clubs, but for those of us that relish top-flight football in the Highlands, he will always have a special place in our hearts. Rest in peace, Jock, and I hope the boys can take this loss and use it to ensure survival in the SPL, as he would have wanted.
