Black is back for Celtic Saturday

By: Ian Rose | October 16th, 2008

This isn’t going to mean much to a lot of people even in the ranks of SPL fandom, but for me, it’s a huge deal. One of my favorite players on the Caley roster, Ian Black, has officially recovered from his shoulder injury and will be on the pitch for Saturday’s match with Celtic. He has had a great season, adding a huge amount of pace and invention to the midfield whenever he’s in the game, so this is a huge boost for us.

In other good news for the club this week, team captain Grant Munro has re-signed with Caley until 2011. I didn’t have much doubt that Captain Grant would stay with us, but it’s always good to have the ink on the paper.

I’m really looking forward to Saturday, as should all Caley fans. Here’s hoping it’s one to remember.

No offense Ian, but I expected a much more boisterous crowd from the Caley supporters for this game. What gives?

Unfortunately, not being in town, I can’t say, but I agree – it was a bit quiet in Caledonian today. Perhaps the awful home form has turned off a few of the casual fans.
